Haag-Streit AT 900 Goldmann applanation tonometer (serial number 900.4.1.151739). Last serviced July 2011 (Service ID approx. RHOLC 32882), next service due July 2012. No applanation prism, calibration/test rod, or other accessories included. The instrument has not been in recent clinical use and remains uncalibrated. Visually intact with typical age-related wear to the housing, mount and dial screw; no obvious external damage.
Basic inspection shows:
• The feeler arm hangs freely vertical under gravity and returns smoothly after gentle sideways displacement.
• When the unit is inclined slightly so the arm leans forward, rotation of the adjustment dial between approximately 0 and 1 produces ~2 mm tipping movement at the tip (consistent with zero-balance response in an unloaded state). No further observable movement occurs outside this narrow range, as expected without prism or calibration weight attached.
A recent quotation from Haag-Streit UK for full service and calibration is £390 + carriage + VAT. Sold as seen, suitable for qualified practitioners or refurbishers who can verify, calibrate and service the instrument. High-resolution photographs show current condition in detail. Collection preferred.
