THE ESSILOR KAPPA SYSTEM IS BOTH THE DIGITAL EDGER AND THE BLOCKER. A BAR CODE READER is attached to both machines and this is being sold complete with approx. 100 bar codes (re-usable), eater tank, pump to edger and all piping and electrical contacts for both blocker and edger as well as extra filter bags for the water tank. In addition it will be supplied with the full 2364 pg. manual and a complete KAPPA tool kit.
It has two flat edge wheels - 1 coarse and 1 exceptionally fine for flat edge models and rimless as well as a standard groove. Never used on glass only on CR39, 1.6, 1.67 and 1.747 plastic and some polycarbonate for which it has a special dry/wet programme.
Individual eye shapes can be scanned on the blocker and are then transferred with the bar codes to the edger.
It was a great investment, serviced on an annual basis for the first 10 years but has never proved a problem.
We only made bespoke rimless eyewear hence it has not cut many lenses in its 22 years. It is being sold as the laboratory will be closed.
