The Sheridan Gardiner Test contains distance Snellen tests which are all based on shape-matching. Although originally designed for young children, these tests are equally suitable for other groups such as illiterates, the disabled, those with learning disabilities or where a language/communication barrier exists. Results are more reliable than those obtained with illiterate E tests.
